Stafford State School provides a dynamic educational experience for students that enables them to become independent, creative and connected lifelong learners.

Our academic programs are focused on building students’ foundational skills, attitudes and values to ensure they achieve their individual potential.

We strive to provide an exciting curriculum that encourages students to develop self confidence and embrace lifelong learning. Our curriculum adheres to the expectations of the Australian National Curriculum for English, maths, science, geography and history and complies with the expectations of the Queensland Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Framework (QCARF) for all learning areas in accordance with the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

The syllabus documents for the eight Key Learning Areas (KLA) provide a framework from which the school has adopted quality educational experiences. These experiences enable the students to demonstrate their achievement against our expected outcomes. At a school level we plan to deliver a curriculum that ensures all students have opportunities to engage in meaningful learning.

All our decisions around curriculum teaching and learning are focused on our students’ needs and abilities.

Our units also have a strong focus on developing the knowledge and skills students will need to participate and shape their social, cultural and economic futures. The learning opportunities provided by our units enable the school to produce a culture of high expectations and engaged learning.

Full details of the National Curriculum and Curriculum content are available from the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) or the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA).
