You can enrol now for Prep 2027. Children born 1st July 2021 – 30th June 2022 are eligible for Prep in 2027. If your child was born before 1st July 2021 but has not started school, they must attend Prep in 2027. If your child was born in July 2022, you can apply for 'early entry' to Prep in 2027 and each early entry application will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis by the leadership team.
We continue to take enrolments for Prep 2026 for children born 1st July 2020 - 30th June 2021.
Please note that families that are outside of our catchment area (as per our Enrolment Management Plan) will need to contact the school with an expression of interest to attend as an 'out-of-catchment' enrolment.
Families who are within the catchment zone should follow the easy steps below:
Step 1: Enrolment application
For each child, complete:
- an Education Queensland enrolment application
- Enrolment Agreement
- Consent for media release
- Consent for online services
- School activity consent form
Step 2: Return forms
Return the completed forms to the office. You will also need to bring for our staff to sight:

You can download the necessary forms from the enrolments page, or collect copies from our school office. If you have questions regarding enrolling your child in our school please contact us at admin@staffordss.eq.edu.au or call 5332 6333.
Step 3: 'Ready for Prep' Enrolment Meetings (September 2026)
Once the enrolment application has been received and processed, a meeting with our Principal and Prep Teacher will be arranged for you and your child/children. The enrolment meeting is also an opportunity to discuss your child's transition or any medical/diagnosed conditions.
Please bring:
- any reports from specialists or medical practitioners/health workers.
- relevant current Family Court/custody orders.
Note: Medication forms must be completed if your child/ren has any specific issue requiring the administration of medication.
'Ready for Prep' meetings will take place:
- Tuesday 1st September
- Monday 7th September
Parents only have to attend one of these days and will book in through the School Online Booking System (SOBS) link that will be sent from the office following submission of enrolment pack.
Step 4: Attend 'Play in Prep' Transition Sessions (October, November, December)
Parents bring their child/ren to the 'Play in Prep' transition sessions in Prep classrooms (as many as you can):
- Wednesday 28th October 9:00 - 10:00am
- Wednesday 11th November 3:00 - 4:00pm
- Wednesday 2nd December 9:00 - 10:00am
Parents attend and stay during these sessions. This is an opportunity for children to connect with the school environment, staff and their peers, and for parents to connect with staff and each other.
NOTE: Keep your child's information up to date along the way
- Change of address
- There is a change in emergency contact numbers
- Significant changes occur with regard to your child's health
- You feel we should know of any other changes which concern your child eg. work phone numbers, custody/court orders.
Our fully airconditioned Prep classrooms provide a developmentally appropriate educational environment for children. Our highly experienced teachers and teacher aides implement a full-day program (8:45-2:45pm) 5 days per week.
